Aminoderm.

Aminoderm contains the 5 amino acids that are combined by the skin to form collagen and elastin proteins.

Collagen and Elastin can not be applied to the skin and form part of the structure of the skin - this is biologically impossible. Despite this there are many skin care products on the market which contain collagen (usually derived from animals) - they are useless.

The 5 amino acids that form collagen and elastin protein fibres are:

L-Glycine
L-Valine:
L-Lysine:
L-Proline
L-Alinine

Amino acids are molecules that are crucial in providing every cell in your body with cellular repair maintenance. These important molecules are classified into 28 different types of amino acids. Of these, nine are considered as "essential," or “indispensable,” which means they cannot simply be synthesized in our bodies. So we should ensure that we have a sufficient intake of them by incorporating these essential amino acids in our diet. Essential amino acids can be found in leafy greens, fish, and other foods rich in protein. By consuming food that has these essential aminos, you can make sure you have enough in your body, and that will help protect your skin from the effects of aging.

However, it is also possible to absorb amino acids by applying them topically. You need to use a lotion, cream, moisturiser, nutrient mask, or other skin care product that contains the essential amino acids. When applied onto your skin, the amino acids combine with the epidermal cells to fill up creases, and thus provide the surface of your skin with a smoother appearance.

Below that, in the lower level of the epidermis, the essential amino acids act to stimulate the build up of collagen, the main skin protein. Collagen is responsible for keeping the skin tissue firm, but it weakens as you get older, especially due to increased exposure to the sun and other environmental skin irritants. However, the absorption of essential amino acids helps in the production of collagen, which in turn works to reduce lines and wrinkles and maintain the continued elasticity of skin as you age.
D-Ribose is included in our formulation to provide the fibroblasts (the cells in our skin that create collagen) with energy

Aminoderm also contains Methylsulfonymethane (MSM), the third most abundant mineral in our bodies and a major component of collagen and skin. MSM promotes the healthy synthesis of collagen and makes tissues more elastic, it helps the skin be less dry and wrinkled. It can improve the look of scars and stretch marks when applied during their formation. It also contains high levels of hyaluronic acid (HA), natures most powerful humectant. HA can retain 500 times its own weight in water and is essential for hydrating the skin. Without sufficient levels of HA the skin will be dehydrated which will exaggerate wrinkles and lines

Aminoderm is the perfect post peel moisturiser. Chemical peels deliberately 'damage' the skin in a safe controlled manner. The skin responds to the 'damage' by renewing skin cells and manufacturing  collagen. Without the essential nutrients that the skin needs to manufacture skin cells and collagen the renewal process will be incomplete and less than it could be. Although the skin will respond favourably to the peel and the complexion will certainly improve the process is so much enhanced by ensuring the skin has the vital nutrients it needs. The results will be smoother, brighter, better hydrated skin with improved collagen levels than would be the case from applying a peel on its own.

Aminoderm and Stretch Marks. Stretch marks occur when the skin's inherent elasticity is not enough to cope with sudden changes in body size, whether as a result of pregnancy, weight loss, weight gain etc. Collagen and elastin fibres in the skin are stretched and tear thus producing the tell tale striae (stretch marks). Stretch marks occur in the dermis, the resilient middle layer that helps the skin retain its shape. No stretch marks will form as long as there is support within the dermis. To prevent stretch marks or at least reduce the extent of them forming it is necessary to  make the skin as elastic as possibly to better cope with the stretching. This involves the employment of oils with a high GLA  (Gamma-linolenic acid). GLA is found only in plant oils - they are certainly not available from mineral oil based creams. Unfortunately most over the counter creams are mineral oil based.

Important Note - The process of converting amino acids into collagen can not take place without Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C).  Ascorbic Acid is an essential component of the process.  Vitamin C acts as a metabolizer for proline and lysine, turning them into a different form that bonds with glycine to make collagen. So, without vitamin C, collagen simply wouldn’t happen. We strongly recommend you combine Aminoderm with our Vitamin c Serum  for the best possible results.

a very rich and comforting moisturiser, with lasting hydration. we use it day/night, and can be worn under makeup perfectly. there is a significant improvement for me and my family that use this on our skin. its softer, firmer and seems somehow less lined. men and women can use it too, and does not have any shine, fragrance or stickiness!
